Windsor Business Duck Race 2010

Last year thousands of people turned out for the Royal Windsor Mid-Summer Fayre in Alexandra Gardens for a most enjoyable day. At 4pm the crowds moved away from the main arena and headed for the river bank where 2000 family ducks and 100 business ducks were launched into the River Thames and the winners walked away with some great prizes. To help promote the duck race and Mid-Summer Fayre, Windsor Rotarians produce a flyer which they hand out in the town centre. Local businesses sponsor adverts and the money raised goes to good causes chosen by Rotarians. This year we raised approximately £1670 which will be given wisely. There will be some great prizes again but it's not all about prizes, for businesses the PR opportunity is second to none from the point of view of value for money. You'll get mentioned in the local press, appear on the BinB website, you could get mentioned on local radio & TV if they get involved this year and they could as they all move towards an increasingly local presence.
